If you are a specialist in the field of mapping or surveying this is the perfect tool for use. It will not only allow one to create maps but also will give them the power to edit them while preserving high quality standards within a very short period of time. The interface serves as the central location for creating maps. This app comes with a very large pool of map templates where users can select any template and start creating their maps. The templates will serve as a guide in ensuring that they create maps easily.

The save feature is very useful especially when creating complex maps since users can save their work and continue at a later time. Users can also use the plug-in in the interface to integrate more GPS capabilities all to make sure that their maps have a professional look. The ability to include a search bar and other features available in all virtual maps is very useful in ensuring professional outlook.

For what are you going to use the program?
  • am using qgis for my research purpose of mapping habitat and other mammals distribution in wildlife sanctuires of westernghats. the other use is to map different forest types.

  • i have been studying quantum gis 1.8 for my gis project to help rural communities of their information system and updating of their community profile.
