If you are a specialist in the field of mapping or surveying this is the perfect tool for use. It will not only allow one to create maps but also will give them the power to edit them while preserving high quality standards within a very short period of time. The interface serves as the central location for creating maps. This app comes with a very large pool of map templates where users can select any template and start creating their maps. The templates will serve as a guide in ensuring that they create maps easily.

The save feature is very useful especially when creating complex maps since users can save their work and continue at a later time. Users can also use the plug-in in the interface to integrate more GPS capabilities all to make sure that their maps have a professional look. The ability to include a search bar and other features available in all virtual maps is very useful in ensuring professional outlook.

For what are you going to use the program?
  • I will use it in public health information especially in maternal and child health for tracking for pregnant mothers who needs prenatal care

  • making maps for students to perfome some basic operations and analysis for their research work at university level. They have to practice how to enter data and analyse it

  • for studying about quantum Geographical Information System and for my education / personal use and for training purpose to educate some pupils

  • Currently am conducting a study in Hydrology of river basins here in Tanzania(East Africa )so am going to use this program on mapping,analysis of ground surface and raster creation

What similar programs have you used?
  • geographic information system combined with the new version of USGS flood tool. I used also Ilwis software for gerating watershed map and flow accumilation

  • EDITING MAPS AND PLOTING FIELD OBSERVATIONS Iwould like to use the programe in minerals exploration such as pitting and logging information whichwould be eventually used for ore reserve estimates
