Since I was a kid back in the 1980’s, I have always played and enjoyed the video arcade Pacman on early PCs. Those days of old are now brought back to life with Pacman Original. I wanted to reminisce those endless hours of fun I had when I was a kid so this game is truly worth the download.
I then proceeded to download this free version of Pacman Original and since I had played this many years ago, I already knew what to expect. However, there were still surprises along the way. I noticed that the game can be installed and played on Windows XP, Vista, as well as Windows 7 and 8. I also made sure that the PC I was using didn't have any previous versions as this may cause unwanted errors. The gaming interface was almost the same as the original Pacman game but it had the familiar Windows title and menu bar on top. This was to facilitate the game settings and controls to be readily available for the player to modify. The background is the same black color with blue maze walls. You have Pacman at your command, and of course the objective is to traverse through the maze and eat all the golden dots, known officially as “Pac-dots” by going through them while avoiding all the ghosts, named Inky, Clyde, Pinky and Blinky, that attempt to eat you back. There are also fruits that Pacman can consume at strategic locations in the maze.
I’m glad that Pacman is back in this free version and will really keep on playing this game for days, months and years to come. Hoping that the developer will keep updating the software for bugs and other minor glitches. All in all, I really recommend downloading Pacman Original as a classic arcade game.
